Dr. P Vincent Hegarty, Director Emeritus of the Institute for Food Laws & Regulations at MSU, is the current Dean of the College of Food Systems at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Al Ain, UAE. Dr. Hegarty continues to teach the International Food Laws & Regulations overview course and the Codex Alimentarius distance education course offered through the MSU Institute for Food Laws & Regulations. Dr. Hegarty received his PhD from the University of London, England, and has developed and taught courses in European and Asian food law. His experience includes teaching food law in Europe, Asia, South Africa, Canada, Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia, Zimbabwe and the Middle East.
