The Online Master of Science in Food Safety Program at Michigan State University (MSU) was created in response to a marketing research study that revealed an undeniable need on the part of the food industry, government and public health for their employees to be specifically educated in the many aspects of safeguarding our food supply.
The Master of Science in Food Safety Degree Program is for professionals who:

The program is a 30-credit master of science degree offered through the College of Veterinary Medicine at MSU. It is a non-thesis professional masters of science program intended for mid-career/mid-management working professionals. Students complete an applied food safety project prior to the completion of their degree.
We also offer a 12-credit Certificate in Food Safety for professionals who seek to advance their careers and enhance their food safety expertise.
